The TMS high school is an English medium school under the management of Tamil Munnetra Sangam, Ambernath.

The school was founded by Mr. Sivaraj Mudaliar, with a vision to provide education and uplift the community through knowledge and discipline.

It started a primary school on 10th August 1948 imparting education through Tamil medium. English was adopted as the medium of instruction in the primary section from the year 1984. At present the medium of instruction is English right from Junior K.G. to 10th Standard. Hindi and Marathi are compulsory languages.

The academic year begins in June and consists of two Semesters.

First Semester – June to October
Second Semester – November to April

The Primary and Secondary sections of School are recognised by the Education Department and are subjected to periodical inspection. The course of studies is framed as per the guidelines of Education Department of Maharashtra State. The School also prepares students for General Knowledge and Drawing examinations and Govt. Scholarship examinations.

Students are physically trained and are given proper encouragement in sports and games.

T.M.S. has started Junior College of Arts and Commerce with the permission of Govt. of Maharashtra from the academic year 2008-09 onwards. From the academic year 2013-14 Science Stream has been started in Junior College.
